A parenting wound represents the deep emotional fracture caused by growing up with emotionally absent, abusive, or narcissistic caregivers who viewed their child as an instrument for their own ego rather than a unique human being. In adulthood, this trauma manifests as chronic self-doubt, hyper-vigilance, and a subconscious drive to seek validation from unavailable partners, whilst forcing the survivor to process the complex grief of mourning a parent who is physically alive yet emotionally incapable of offering true love.
